A Visit To Miami, July 8 2010
We made it to Miami safely, with a couple of close calls on the drive down. It's a whole different style of driving when you are in Florida, especially Miami. What a beautiful night it is here, the wind is blowing off the ocean and people are walking all over the place. We went to one of my favorite restaurants Little Havana. They have the most wonderful marinated slow roasted pork, it is serve it with a big piece of Crispy Pork Rind on top of the pork. They serve it with the most delicate white rice, black beans seasoned to perfection and fried plantains. Plantains are these sweet soft insides and crispy outside over ripe bananas. They really are not bananas, but that is the closest thing I can describe to what they are. Trust me they are wonderful! Jeff and Maggie have already been in the pool. I went for a beautiful walk in the neighborhood, it's right off Key Biscayne. I will post pictures later. I have a busy day tomorrow, I am visiting the financial adviser and off to have lunch with my sister and then back to the house to do some work for Jeff's mother.
