BLTC Sandwich for lunch July 15, 2010

Today, I made a BLTC Sandwich! What is it? This is; Apple pepper smoked bacon, a vine ripe tomato I just picked from the garden, a few leaves of fresh Basile I picked from the garden, slivers of Le Gruyere Cheese and Sour Dough Bread. Doesn't that sound good? Here's how I made it; I toasted the bread, I laid cheese on one side of the bread, then put 2 or 3 slices of the bacon on top of the cheese, 4 leaves of Basile and 2 Romain Lettuce stalks, I put some more of the Le Gruyere Cheese on top and put the other piece of bread on top. I buttered each side of the out side of the toasted bread, cracked pepper on top of the butter and placed it in a 375 degree oven for a few minutes until the cheese melted. I like the bread very crunchy! Another satisfying meal!
